Children’s health

"Opiods is a very powerful sedatives and if taken in large quantities, can induce sleep and even coma," says Lanigan. "Cardiovascular Drugs may cause drops in blood pressure and heart rate …. famous overdose of aspirin is bad."

Pharmacy students money on competition

Compete in the national community pharmacists Association Pruitt-Schutte's recent student business plan competition is a Brittain Manchester, Cale Leeper, Tara Hutchinson and Caleb Reaber. Justin Wilson, Pharm d., served as faculty adviser. Serving as a faculty mentor is Eric Johnson, Dean for Administration and finance.

OU student chapter of the College of pharmacy Association, national was awarded $ 2,000, and $ 2,000 donated to schools to support the efforts to promote independent pharmacies.

Wilson said this year the team produced a plan that is very good and professional looking with a lot of creative ideas that take their pharmaceuticals to the next level.

"Their passion for innovative ideas and services to patient care is evident in the whole plan. It doesn't surprise me that they were chosen as finalists, "said Wilson.

Exercise too little, too much TV is tied to depression

Older women who get more exercise and less time television is most likely depressiondiagnosed with, according to the u.s. to learn from thousands of women–with a physical activity that have the greatest impact.

According to findings published in American Journal of Epidemiology, researchers found that women who reported exercising the most in recent years is about 20 percent less likely to have depression than those who rarely do.

On the other hand, the more hours they spend watching TV each week, the more they risk of depression creeping up.

"A higher level of physical activity that is associated with a lower risk of depression," writes study author Michel Lucas, from the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston.
